It is important for Danone Southern Africa to support the development of the communities in which we operate and our corporate social responsibility initiatives are a reflection of this commitment.
- As a company we believe that Danone Southern Africa’s role in society goes way beyond the production of nutritious, great-tasting yoghurt custard and maas. We as a company are committed to helping people make informed food choices to improve their nutrition and health.
- For this reason we support initiatives that encourage nutrition education through a program called Nutriday Schools Program. It is dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits and knowledge of good foods and nutrition through reaching children in schools.
- We also run the Danone Nations Cup which reaches around 3000 schools across all regions in South Africa in the form of football, which promotes healthy active lifestyles together with education about healthy food choices.
- With the combination of these programs we can reach our company mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible!
